She Is That Moment
Life has recently become quite crazy for me - I've graduated from college, I'm starting my professional career and independent life, and I'm embarking on an incredible life journey. As if that wasn't enough for me to handle, I've recently decided to take the leap and let a very special woman into my life.
Balance is a big part of life, and this girl constantly reminds me of that, among many other things too. She keeps me grounded, clear, focused, and challenged. I couldn't be happier.
She too is in a moment of craziness in her life, and I am there for her just as much as she is for me. I help her to stay relaxed, encouraged, informed, and motivated. She couldn't be happier.
One day, during this time of craziness, I had a realization.
I was driving home in the middle of the pouring rain, radio off, being content with my thoughts.
It was when I drove under an overpass that it happened.
There's a moment of peace - a split second of quiet and calmness that happens when the pouring rain is cut off by the overpasses along highways. And in that split second, I experienced a quick calmness and peace of mind from the storm raging outside.
She is that moment.
She is that moment of peace during the metaphorical storm that is life.
Life is about balance, as I mentioned, and I find that during these crazy times, I am happy to be there for this woman, and I am thankful that she is there for me. We couldn't be happier.
I can't wait for her to be here, moment after moment.
