What to Do When Someone Says This to You | Lessons
I'm not sure what's worse, someone telling me what I have to offer is "not quite enough", or perhaps the opposite, "good job".
Neither choice of words is very reassuring; both carry a meaning that imply your work isn't great, and oh my is that not just a kick in the shorts.
There's two ways to handle hearing those words, however...
1. You can let it kill you, slowly but surely, until you're an unmotivated piece or crap, or
2. You can let it motivate you, make you better, and let it be a piece of truth in your victory story.
We all can improve on one thing or another, and it's probably better that someone makes you check your shit now before it bears any more weight in the future.
So work on that "not quite" part and be more than enough.
